Setting up a GP network for your scheme is not as difficult as you have been led to believe. For you to have one of these networks in place by 2013, we simply have to go through these five simple steps.
| Step 1: | Meet to discuss your scheme’s healthcare funding needs. |
| Step 2: | Run your claims data through our analytical models to determine your healthcare costs. |
| Step 3: | Map your relationship with the GPs looking after the members of your scheme and develop a cost-neutral model offer for them. This step will involve your appointed actuaries. |
| Step 4: | Identify problematic benefit categories that need to be targeted for cost containment and agree on strategies to address these. This will also involve your appointed actuaries. |
| Step 5: | Finalise a contractual framework with the GPs and contract with them accordingly. |
